Jerusalem Day at Ovrazhki, 1977.
The forest clearing is covered in decorations. In the front are posters and post cards with views of our ancient capital. Those present have just finished hearing Eliahu Essas tell of the city’s history. Endless questions followed. After this there were songs in Hebrew, in Russian and in Yiddish. The younger generation asked for the Hebrew songs to be written out for them in Russian letters. When evening came, no one wanted to leave.
